This Privacy Policy explains what information Lkota (operated by Lkota LLC) collects, how we use it, and the third parties that help us run the Service. It applies to companies and users of the Lkota platform.
Information we collect
Account data. When you register, we collect your name, email address, and phone number, along with the passcode used to secure your account (stored only in hashed form — never in plain text).
Company data. We store your company name, operating state, and account settings so we can provide the Service and keep each company's data isolated from others.
Vehicle and deal data. We store the vehicle, VIN, seller, and deal information you enter to create records and generate documents.
Uploaded media and documents. Photos, seller ID images, signatures, and generated document packages you upload or create are stored as private files and are accessible only to authorized users of your company.
Service providers
Payments — Stripe. Card payments and wallet top-ups are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number; Stripe handles card data under its own security standards.
SMS verification — Twilio. Phone verification codes are sent through Twilio to confirm your phone number during registration.
Email — SendGrid. Transactional emails such as receipts, document deliveries, and notifications are sent through SendGrid.
How we use information
We use your information to operate the Service, authenticate users, process payments, generate and deliver documents, send account and transactional notifications, provide support, and keep the platform secure. We do not sell your personal information.
Data security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including passcode hashing, per-company data isolation, protected private media, and access controls that restrict administrative pages to authorized staff. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and limit access to those who need it.
Data retention and access
We retain your records for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. Your existing records and documents remain viewable to you even if your wallet balance is zero or your annual access is inactive.
